As you may have already know, I’m really a fan of the Ace Attorney series. Because of that, I’m really really looking forward to The Great Ace Attorney, an upcoming game featuring Phoenix Wright’s ancestor and Sherlock Holmes. Yes. THE Sherlock Holmes that you know. Plus it will have the jury system.
However, that game is coming out in Japan first on December. Given Capcom’s stance on localization, I really really hope to one day be able to play it.
For now, most of the people who have not played the original Ace Attorney games on the Nintendo DS in the past can now play it on the Nintendo 3DS.
With the upcoming release of the Ace Attorney Trilogy, Capcom modified the graphics of the game so that it will look good on the 3DS. You can take a look after the break, plus my comments.
Of course, asking for Dual Destinies-style 3D is not something they can do immediately. It will take time to do that, and I bet Capcom is not a company who will be willing to bet and do something like that for a series that saw its sales decline game after game after game (though I don’t know the status of Dual Destinies).
Nevertheless, I still feel that for the story alone, this is something that players must not miss, more so if they haven’t played the Nintendo DS versions yet.
