IGN - What Does Nintendo's First Season Pass Mean for the Future ...

Mario Golf is an interesting case for a few reasons:

1. The game itself is discounted. It's only $30, so the DLC makes it only $5 more than you'd usually pay for a 3DS game.

2. Mario Golf is a once-per-console game. We're not going to get a new Mario Golf for this content to just be transferred over to, so it's not that terrible to make DLC for.

3. The 'season pass' is the exact same thing as the DLC games for StreetPass Mii Plaza, but you don't get it all at once.

Additionally, you know what you're getting. Aside from episodic games, Season Passes usually entail getting DLC you know nothing about.

Anyway, I'd be more annoyed by this if it weren't for the fact the game's cheaper to compensate.
