Monster Hunter 4 is one of the most successful Japanese releases of the past year. So it’s not really surprising to know that it’s been named as the best game of 2013 by the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
This definitely bodes well for the Western release of the game, especially considering that North America and Europe will receive the updated version Monster Hunter 4G, which includes several imporvements and additions.
A few other games have received a mention for their quality. Among them are The Legend Of Heroes: Sen No Kiseki, God Eater 2, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Super Mario 3D World, Pokèmon X & Y, The Last Of Us and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It’s also interesting to note that Grand Theft Auto V is mentioned for its quality, showing how much Japanese gamers have appreciated the Rockstar developed open world game.
Rookie Awards have also been given to new franchises released during the past year. Among them are games that Western gamers know well, like The Last Of Us, Soul Sacrifice, Dragon’s Crown and Tokiden.
