It seems that once you’ve upgraded your axe in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, you can stand to make a lot of money chopping down evergreen trees and shipping off the lumber. One unit of lumber from one of those trees gets you 100 gold pieces, and when you figure that you can chop a tree down twice to make two “stacks” (once for the tree, and then again for the stump), with each stack holding up to five units – that’s almost 1,000G worth of income right there. These trees tend to spawn rapidly on my farm, but I couldn’t do anything about them until I got the ability to buy blueprints for upgrading my tools. Now, I have an easier way to make money early in the summer while waiting for my crops to grow. Score!
