Huge news, Shantae fans! Today, new images have surfaced from the recent issue of Nintendo Power about our beloved genie, and those images are for an upcoming sequel by the name of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. This title will be for the 3DS’ eShop service, following 2010′s mega hit of Shantae: Risky’s Revenge.
So what’s the story? Shantae is now a human, as her powers have been stolen. Teaming up with Risky Boots, Shantae must set out to find the 30 Tinkerbats that stole her powers and save the world at the same time. Sounds wonderful. WayForward have turned Shantae into a gem to a franchise, and the future is brighter all around for that crazy little genie that was almost forgotten about just ten years ago. Stay tuned, as there is sure to be more news to come.
