For copyright questions, email copyright@filterfoundry.com ______ Mathias Hoeggs graduation film produced during his studies at the Royal College of Art in London has brought him accolades at festivals all over the planet: "My intention was to make a film about what the future might feel like when youre used to living in it. The film is about everyday frustrations and hopes in a high-tech world. "Sound was a really crucial part of the film. Luckily I met Marian Mentrup at the Leipzig Documentary and Animation Festival that autumn and we decided to work together soon after that. After seeing the early stages of the picture he suggested that we organize the sound in a structure that is as regimented as the grid-like designs. "We started editing the film to a metronome. This made it easy to exchange snippets of sound and animation. Of course the uniformity of the rhythm sometimes made it difficult to be spontaneous with the animation, but it did help a lot to create a sense of a world where everything is stubbornly organized, which is the impression that we were after.
