Recently, there has been an influx of games announced and/or given release dates. Along with the basic information, there are some notable/new features that have been announced for each game (where applicable). The following is a list of some games to look out for (in no particular order) that are coming to the 3DS:
Animal Crossing*: To be released in Japan on November 8th 2012 and North America and Europe in the first half of 2013.
Some of the most notable features are: You are the mayor of your town. You can customize not only clothing but furniture and your house as well. You can implement laws which change the type of town you will have (Rich, Morning, Night, Flowery etc.). There is a shopping mall along with many other new stores. You can now decorate the town itself, and using Streetpass other players can visit/live in your town.
Fantasy Life: To be released in Japan in December of 2012, all other regions are TBD.
Almost nothing is known about this game, but what is known is that it seems to be a mix of an RPG and Animal crossing. Also there are many different occupations to choose from in the game.
Bravely Default Flying Fairy: To be released in Japan on October 11th 2012 and TBD for North America and Europe.
A beautiful looking RPG. Just like Fantasy Life there are many different occupations to choose from. There are also wireless features included in the game.
Code of Princess: To be released in Japan on April 19th 2012 and North America on October 9th 2012 while Europe remains TBD.
Beat ‘em up RPG game that features local and online multiplayer. There is VS. Mode and a co-op mode. There are over 100 quests to complete and many items to collect. You are also able to customize your characters.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate: To be released in Japan on December 10th 2012 and North America and Europe in March of 2013.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask: Already available in Japan and will be available in both North America and Europe in October 2012. 365 extra puzzles will be made available for download each week for one full year after its release.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon*: This game exists.
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney:To be released in Japan in 2012 and all other regions are TBD.
Obviously a crossover game, that will feature game play elements from both the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney series.
Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward: To be released in Japan on February 16th 2012, October 23rd 2012 in North America and November 2012 in Europe.
A sequel to the visual novel style game 9 Persons 9 Hours 9 Doors.
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon: To be released in all regions within the first half of 2013.
A sequel to Luigi’s Mansion on the Gamecube. You can now explore more than one mansion.
While this list obviously does not include every game that is on its way to the 3DS, it does include some that you should be on the lookout for. For more than a few games on this list there is very little information about them.
