Did you pre-order the Wii U Deluxe Edition? Will you end up buying it around or after launch? Well, Nintendo has a nice incentive for you if you aren’t planning on buying it–it revolves around redeemable funds.
If you do end up getting the Wii U Deluxe Edition, any purchase that you make digitally will reward you points that can be transferred to redeemable funds that you can use in the Nintendo eShop. The amount that you would receive in funds is 10% of what the total cost of the purchase was (so if you buy a game that costs around $49.99, then you would receive 499 points).
If you receive 500 points, then you’ll receive a code of $5 worth of funds to use in the Nintendo eShop on either Wii U or 3DS. Points will be awarded to Wii U Deluxe owners from November 18, 2012 until December 2014. A website for this promotion will launch this December and people will be able to log in to see their points accumulated and redeem codes. Codes will be received until March 31, 2015 and must be exchanged by June 30, 2015 for eShop credit.
Of course, eShop credit will not expire at any time.
