Wii U Launch Lineup Set, Consists Of 23 Games - News - www ...

A lot of ports, but that's not surprising as Nintendo is making a constituted effort to appeal to more 3rd party games. At least it shows that Nintendo realizes they can't play on gimmicks alone and that their console needs to be somewhat accessible for those more interested in core gaming.

I lost interest in Nintendo along time ago though. The only titles I would likely be interested in purchasing would be LoZ and SSB and no console is worth just two franchises. Lets not even forget that unless Microsoft and Sony also continue support for the Xbox 360 and PS3, a lot of these 3rd party games likely won't be ported to Nintendo when the next gen consoles release. Assuming I even buy a new console, as I'm primarily a PC gamer, I'll probably look at Microsoft's next console.

Out of all the companies, they tend to have the most exclusives and titles I'm generally most interested in. Here is hoping the Halo franchise makes a comeback under 343 after Bungie nearly ran it into permanent mediocrity with its last few games. I guess I should really blame Microsoft though considering they were forcing Bungie to release Halo games sooner than they would have liked. Oh well, here's hoping that Halo doesn't degenerate into CoD and that the Reclaimer Trilogy will be worth seeing.
