Nintendo's reveal of their next portable console, the 3DS XL, has left me wondering about plans the Japanese company has made for the next few years. While Sony and Microsoft are working hard to bring different parts of their gaming empires together, Nintendo seems to have went in the opposite direction with the 3DS XL.
