Angry Birds Trilogy will be getting DLCs to justify its $40 price tag ...

Back in July we reported that an Angry Birds Trilogy would be making its way onto the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo 3DS. For those who might not have seen the news, well Angry Birds Trilogy is basically a compilation of the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, all three of which will be bundled together and sold for a packaged price of $40 for home consoles, while the 3DS version will be sold for $30. that is a pretty expensive game considering that its mobile version costs a fraction of its price, but according to Activision who spoke to Kotaku, that is “justifiable” considering the game will be receiving DLCs on top of the regular levels.

Not just a rehash of the mobile version, Angry Birds Trilogy is expected to

feature 19 new levels, 1080p graphics, motion control support, achievements and other features not seen in the mobile versions. There are reportedly two DLCs planned for the game although it was not stated as to whether these DLCs will be free or whether they will bring about additional costs. In any case it seems a little ridiculous that Activision will start charging for the DLCs considering how much more they are asking for the game itself, but what do you guys think? Should the DLCs be free, or should they be charged?
