Favourite/Least Favourite Region? - The PokéCommunity Forums

My favorites are Hoenn and Unova region. The Hoenn region feels summery for me, particularly the GBA adaptions one. I love the summer season a lot, that's why the region secure that top place. Additionally the vast water route, diving spots, rain forest route and desert made the whole adventure experience felt like real adventure. The Unova region resembles the Hoenn region and playing BW and their sequels reminded me a lot the hot summers of the Hoenn region. Both regions houses most of my favorite Gym Leader.

While my least favorites are Kanto and Johto region. It's very ironic considering I started from Gen I at the age of 6/7 as I have been saying from my other posts. It's just difficult to get engage with Kanto because of its boring land, boring plot and boring villain team. The fandom's love for Generation I didn't make it better, instead it's sour and bitter towards the said generation and region. The Kanto remakes are really my breaking point, that moment was 'I had enough, that's it'.

Johto is my second least favorite since it shares a lot of Pokémon from the Kanto region (and even the league), it feels particularly worse when Gen II Pokémon are almost no where to be seen in the Johto based games. Though the dislike isn't as intense as my dislike for the Kanto region.
