The latest videogame awards ceremony (and the last for 2013′s games?) took place last night in San Francisco as part of the on-going Game Developers Conference, where dozens of games and development teams were recognised for their amazing work in the games industry in 2013.
The ceremony was split into two parts, namely the Independent Games Festival Awards and the Game Developers Choice Awards, each focussing on different spheres of the videogame world but both aiming to highlight the outstanding contributions that developers have made to their industry recently. As has been the trend, Naughty Dog led the GDC Awards with a host of wins in different categories for The Last of Us, while the stark empathy game ‘Papers, Please’ did very well for itself in the IGF Awards.
