Mario 3D Land Stage super smash bros UniverseHyruleCentral

Hey guys, I wanted to bring you up to speed on the Super Smash Bros Universe for the Nintendo 3DS. Recently, Mr. Sakurai has revealed some detailed images from the Mario 3D Land Stage in the 3DS version of the Super Smash Bros. Universe game.

A while back, Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS would primarily feature stages based on Nintendo’s handheld titles. One such stage takes inspiration from Mario’s handheld journeys, including New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 3D Land (though the stage is specifically called “Super Mario 3D Land”). We’ve seen glimpses of this stage in the past, but in today’s “Pic of the Day,” Sakurai gives us a detailed look at the stage.

Like many other Smash stages, Super Mario 3D Land scrolls across the screen, but unlike the traditional scrolling stage, Super Mario 3D Land throws in some unexpected—and in my opinion delightful—twists. you can see that this stage switches between horizontal scrolling and a slightly more static form, which means the stage includes a mix of traditional platforms like those found in Battlefield and Delfino Plaza, and wonkier, less predictable terrain.

That’s all the information I have for you guys in terms of the Mario 3D Land Stage super smash bros Universe. Make sure to check back often for new stuff like the Mario 3D Land Stage super smash bros Universe and other Super Smash Bros. news.
