Nintendo Reveals Comic-Con Line-up | EGMNOW
Jul 9th 2012, 16:01

Nintendo has announced its official line-up for Comic-Con 2012, taking place July 12-15 at the San Diego Convention Center, however something very important appears to be missing.

This will be the first chance to get your hands on the new 3DS XL handheld announced last month, featuring 90 percent larger screens. In addition to hands-on time with several 3DS and Wii games at the special Nintendo Gaming Lounge in the San Diego Ballroom. Playable games at the event:

Nintendo 3DS / Nintendo 3DS XL

  • New Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate (Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.)
  • Heroes of Ruin (Square Enix)
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] (Square Enix)
  • LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)

Nintendo DS

Wii

  • Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition
  • Just Dance 4 (Ubisoft)

By now, most of you have probably noticed the rather glaring missing piece of this Nintendo puzzle: Where are all the Wii U games? We're just a few months from the console's launch window and Nintendo doesn't seem to want to let people get any serious hands-on time with it. After the disappointing showing at E3 last month we were hoping for … well, anything really. Is something wrong with the upcoming console? With rumors of a December release, which would miss the biggest part of the holiday buying season, we are concerned that the console is not yet fully baked. We would only be half surprised to see the launch pushed to 2013.

Still, at least there are some good 3DS games to play with in the meantime.
