Angry Birds Now On Samsung Smart TV | Blog - Bee IT Limited

Rovio’s highly successful game Angry birds has moved on to Television after PCs and mobiles. Samsung has collaborated with Rovio to bring the famous game to their Smart TVs.

Owners of Samsung’s ES7000, ES8000, ES9000 will be able to download the game from the Samsung app store. Playing the game does not require any special console. The game makes use of the TVs motion sensors.

The best part is that the game requires no additional set up or equipment. Once the game is downloaded, it can be played just by the motion of your hands.

The South Korean company Samsung has been looking to bring Angry Birds to the new medium since the beginning when the Smart TVs were introduced. The possibilities are endless with a motion detector and voice recognition. Many more games can be brought to the TV.

Rovio is looking to collaborate with Samsung on a number of projects besides this one. They are looking to release some animated shorts in the near future. All the different games and videos released by Rovio will be available for consumers from the Samsung store online.

The television medium holds unlimited possibilities. Essentially the release of the game on Smart TVs means that the game will be available to thousands of people all over the world. The game requires different hand gestures in order for the user to fling the pigs at the birds. This adds a new dimension to the game.

The company also released some teasers concerning the Angry Birds trilogy. The trilogy includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds seasons and Angry Birds Rio. These are intended to be released on the Xbox360, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 3.

In order to prepare the game for large television sets, the developers would have to improve the graphics and add details to the backgrounds. The game is only designed for very small screens and thus filling all that space on a huge Smart TV would require a lot of additional work.

Samsung in collaboration with Rovio is set to start a channel dedicated to animated videos. A brand new market is being tapped here and thus the potentials are endless.
