Angry Birds coming to consoles and 3DS, will cost arm and leg | The ...

If you have just about any smartphone or tablet, then you’ve probably at least played the demo for Angry Birds. Even if you don’t you might have tried it on your browser. Well, this Xmas, you will be able to play it on your PS3, Xbox 360, or Nintendo 3DS.

Space Core is disappoint.

For your money, you will get the Angry Birds Trilogy of the original, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio (Sorry, no Angry Birds Space) and will have unique features for each system (PS Move, Kinect, 3D support, Streetpass.

So, you might ask, this will be available as a downloadable title through the Nintendo e-Shop, XBLA, or SEN for about the same price as the mobile versions right? Wrong. This will retail for $39.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and $29.99 on 3DS, more than TEN TIMES the price of buying all three on the iPhone.

I’m afraid to even ask this, but is anyone willing to pay $40 for a Kinect enabled Angry Birds game? Do you think that it will have Smartglass enabled so you can control your shots with a tablet or smartphone? Do you think they will make a WiiU version?

Did I mention this was being published by Activision?
